Niranjan Kumar Ilampooranan recently earned his Master’s in Robotics Engineering from WPI, where he was also a graduate research assistant in the ELPIS (Efficient Learning and Planning for Intelligent Systems) lab. He is also a recipient of Dr. Glenn Yee Graduate Student Tuition Award, a scholarship awarded to outstanding robotics graduate students. Previously, he was a Project Lead at Center for Non-destructive Evaluation at IIT-Madras on a project involving development of a mobile manipulator prototype for customer engagement and assistance in retail store environments. He received his undergraduate degree from Anna University in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Niranjan is working on the NLP Engine profiling project in order to find places in the NLP engine where processing time can be improved.
