Ashton Williamson is a grad student at Clemson University finished his master’s thesis on processing and assigning ICD codes to medical text using NLP++. It is the first ever master’s thesis using NLP++ and includes the collection and analysis of free-text data from electronic health records and medical ontologies. This research was partially funded by HPCC Systems.
