Ashton Williamson is a grad student at Clemson University who is currently working on his master’s thesis on processing and assigning ICD codes to medical text using NLP++. It will be the first ever master’s thesis using NLP++ and includes the collection and analysis of free-text data from electronic health records and medical ontologies. This research was partially funded by HPCC Systems.
Ashton works under the tutelage of Dr. Amy Apon and Dr. Nina Hubig.
