One of the projects we are currently working on is the creation of an college-level course on NLP using NLP++. NLP in almost all universities has become a part of Machine Learning and AI overview courses. NL understanding courses have all but disappeared from universities and industry. With NLP++, that is going to change.
Our goal with this project is to bring back true NLP courses and real-world NLU exercises back to computer science departments around the world thus reviving the writing of engineered NL systems and digital human readers.
The Course
The course would include:
- A History of NLP
- An overview of the NLP++ Language
- Exercises using NLP++ to illustrate various important aspects of NLP (many of which were never previously taught in school)
